Fireside Project is looking to hire a few amazing interns!

When Fireside Project’s Psychedelic Peer Support Line goes live on April 14, 2021, it will be the first ever peer support line that’s specifically aimed at helping people navigate psychedelic experiences. To learn more about the support line, please check out this page, our Medium article, and maybe even our public panel.

We’d love to hire folx who are deeply passionate about the psychedelic movement, as well as Fireside Project’s mission and vision. Maybe you’ve had your own psychedelic experiences, or held space for others during theirs, so you know how important it is for this free, confidential, and trusted resource to exist. At Fireside Project, we feel a burning desire to share this beautiful project with the world so that no one ever has to feel alone with a psychedelic experience ever again, not even for a moment. We’d love to hire people who feel the same way!

Unfortunately, all internships are unpaid at this time.

Fireside Ambassadors (5-10 hours per week)

  • We’re looking to hire several Fireside Ambassadors!

  • For the support line to be a success, people need to know it exists, hopefully well before they’re in the midst of a psychedelic experience. That’s where you come in! We need your help in getting the word out about the support line.

  • To do that, we’d like to cultivate connections with all sorts of people, organizations, academic institutions, businesses, community mental health clinics, law enforcement, and more. This will involve phone calls, emails, video calls, and maybe even representing Fireside Project on community panels and in other forums.

  • The ideal candidates are people with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong research ability, and superb judgment who thrive on making new and enduring connections with all sorts of people and organizations. Experience with G-Suite/Google Workplace applications, including Google Sheets, is preferred.

  • Number of positions available: many!

  • Weekly schedule: flexible

  • Duration of internship: minimum of three months

Social Media Intern (5-10 hours per week)

  • We’re looking to hire someone with experience in graphic design to help run our social media, including our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds.

  • The ideal candidate is someone with graphic design and social media experience, and who has worked with Adobe Photoshop and Canva.

  • Number of positions available: one

  • Weekly schedule: flexible

  • Duration of internship: minimum of three months

All internships are fully remote. Interns must have their own personal computer and phone, and access to reliable and fast internet.

To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume as a single PDF detailing your qualifications to jobs@firesideproject.org. Please include “Social Media Intern Application” or “Fireside Ambassador Application” in the subject line, as appropriate.

Fireside Project is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from groups that have been systematically excluded from the psychedelic movement.
